Systems Administrator - SME

Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Systems Administrator - SME to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. 

Responsibilities:  

As a Systems Administrator - SME you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: 

• Provides technical and management leadership for all systems administration functions within integration facility support across the Task Order, establishing overarching goals and strategic plans for optimizing complex laboratory environments for mission-critical C2ISR hardware and software integration. 
• Directs and controls the strategic design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge system architectures that facilitate system/subsystem design, development, integration, and evaluation across CONUS and OCONUS sites. 
• Possesses expert domain and technical knowledge in systems administration, C2ISR systems integration, and laboratory infrastructure, applying this to define and drive the technical roadmap for continuous technological validation and mission readiness within the lab. 
• Has overall responsibility for establishing and implementing innovative approaches for optimizing laboratory technological infrastructure, including advanced virtualization, containerization, and network solutions, to support diverse C2ISR components. 
• Engages in high-level client negotiations and interfaces with senior management regarding the strategic vision, capabilities, and resource allocation for advanced systems administration support within integration facilities. 
• Utilizes expert domain knowledge and decision-making that has a critical impact on the overall project implementation, ensuring the lab environment maximizes multi-tenancy, containerization, and virtualization for Tactical Data Center architectures. 
• Directs and controls the methods and staffing for systems administration teams, ensuring delivery of high-impact, scalable, and resilient laboratory support services. 
• Provides authoritative guidance on all aspects of operational documentation and interface design recommendations to optimize laboratory technological infrastructure. 
• Establishes and governs the architectural principles, tools, and platforms for all systems administration efforts within integration facility support, critically impacting the efficiency, security, and effectiveness of C2ISR hardware and software integration. 
• Shapes the future direction of C2ISR integration facilities for the Task Order by pioneering new system technologies, research, and advanced operational models, directly impacting mission success. 
• Utilize the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools: Task Order portal; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate); G Invoicing API; ASSIST portal integration; variance analysis dashboards; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk; automated RIP/CTP/TAR workflows; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; Microsoft Search; lessons learned databases; video library repositories; eMass, Archer GRC; internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams; Azure AD role based access; mobile access via Power Apps. 
• Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Microsoft Word; Excel; SharePoint; Confluence; ServiceNow; Jira; endpoint management tools; basic monitoring dashboards.  

Required qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level; 
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience with a BS/BA or 10 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 8 years’ experience with a PhD. or 16 years' w/o a degree or 14 years' with AS/AA degree
• A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level 
• US citizenship is required 
• DoD 8140 role for WRC: 451; Element: IT; Work Role: System Administrator; Proficiency Level: Advanced / ability to obtain

Desired Qualifications: 

• DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment. 

Work Environment:  

• Location: Pope Army Airfield, NC 
• On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking 
• Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
