Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Systems Engineer - Senior to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. 

Responsibilities:  

As a Systems Engineer - Senior, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Serves as a lead systems engineering expert within the PMO, driving the management of enterprise-level and site-specific capability/capacity projects and holding significant responsibility for the technical integrity of their associated PRDs. 
  • Leads the identification and definition of technical, architectural, and systematic paths for complex system integration activities, major expansions, and critical site activations, directly influencing the scope and requirements of PRDs. 
  • Applies MBSE and architects and evaluates strategic system solutions, providing expert technical advice to Government leadership POCs on optimizing system capabilities, mitigating risks, and ensuring long-term operational effectiveness, as captured in PRDs. 
  • Develops and presents high-level technical and architectural roadmaps for C2ISR systems, influencing PMO decisions on technology adoption, resource allocation, and program direction, and ensuring PRDs reflect these strategic choices. 
  • Directs and coordinates cross-functional teams to integrate system technical considerations into broader C2ISR projects, resolving complex architectural and technical challenges, and ensuring PRD alignment and feasibility. 
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple high-impact systems engineering assignments, guiding junior and journeyman engineers, and contributing significantly to the strategic expansion and modernization of global C2ISR infrastructure through the PRD process. 
  • Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Network engineering platforms (SolarWinds, NetScout, Cisco DNA Center); SATCOM monitoring and acquisition tools (Satellite Acquisition Manager, L3 Harris SRVT monitoring, ViaSat hub portals); protocol optimization and interoperability testing platforms (BGP/MBGP/MSDP/BFD routing simulators, IPv6 multicast testbeds); latency measurement and QoS optimization tools (p95/p99 latency trackers, edge computing performance monitors); cloud orchestration and sustainment tools (Azure Arc, AWS Console, milCloud 2.0 IL5 Landing Zone, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, virtualization with VMware/Hyper V); cross domain solution monitoring (Everfox High Speed Guard dashboards, CDS compliance trackers); end to end visibility dashboards (AI assisted anomaly detection, service dependency mapping, mission impact scoring); data redundancy elimination tools (adaptive bitrate streaming platforms, transrate/transcode engines, multicast consolidation utilities); engineering deployment kits (Tactical Relay Kits, RGEP/IGEP installation toolsets); incident tracking and COOP readiness systems (VPN token management, alternate site readiness trackers, SOP/QRC libraries). 

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level 
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with a BS/BA degree or 6 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 3 years’ experience with a PhD. or 12 years' w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level 
  • US citizenship is required 
  • DoD 8140 role for WRC: 451; Element: IT; Work Role: System Administrator; Proficiency Level: Intermediate 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment. 

Work Environment:  

  • Location: MacDill AFB, FL 
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking 
  • Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
