Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Network Engineer – Senior to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. 

Responsibilities:  

As a Network Engineer - Senior, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Architects, designs, and implements advanced technical diagnostic strategies to identify, analyze, and resolve complex network performance issues across global transport systems.  
  • Drives the strategic planning and execution of proactive monitoring and predictive troubleshooting methodologies for satellite communication and other network environments.  
  • Is COOP trained and functions as a technical expert in providing expert network troubleshooting capabilities that ensure continuous operational effectiveness and minimal communication disruptions.  
  • Leads efforts to coordinate with DISA OSC and Command SATOPS-ISR for pushing out routing configurations and implementing network changes.  
  • Develops and implements advanced solutions for end-to-end network infrastructure testing and connectivity verification.  
  • Evaluates the overall effectiveness of network troubleshooting solutions, identifying trends, and recommending major changes to enhance resilience and optimize C2ISR capabilities.  
  • Mentors and supervises journeyman and junior Network Administrators Engineers, fostering skill development and ensuring consistency in solution quality and adherence to best practices.  
  • Collaborates strategically with other engineering teams and Government stakeholders to align troubleshooting solutions with broader C2ISR objectives.  
  • Leads the development of technical documentation for advanced diagnostic strategies, troubleshooting procedures, and network incident management, setting standards for clarity and effectiveness.  
  • Utilize the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools: Task Order portal; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate);; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk;; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; lessons learned databases; video library repositories; Archer GRC; eMASS internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams;  
  • Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Microsoft Word; Excel; SharePoint; Confluence; ServiceNow; Jira; endpoint monitoring tools; Network diagnostic platforms... SolarWinds, packet analyzers, SNMP, and command-line diagnostics, packet capture analysis (e.g., Wireshark) Service Desk ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy); network diagramming software (Visio, Lucidchart); network modeling and simulation software (OPNET, Riverbed Modeler, MATLAB); 

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Network Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level; Minimum of 6 years’ experience with a BS/BA degree or 4 years’ experience with a MS/MA or 2 years’ experience with a Ph.D. or 10 Years' w/o a degree or 8 years' with AS/AA degree
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level 
  • US citizenship is required 
  • DoD 8140 role for WRC: 441; Element: IT; Work Role: Network Operations Specialist; Proficiency Level: Intermediate / Ability to obtain 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment. 

Work Environment:  

  • Location: Pope Army Airfield, NC 
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking 
  • Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
