Specifically, we are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Change Control Specialist - Senior to support this mission at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. 

Responsibilities:  

As a Change Control Specialist – Senior you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include: 

  • Leads the operational execution of the entire CCM process, ensuring systematic documentation of engineering change requests and maintaining comprehensive traceability of design modifications. 
  • Drives the implementation of rigorous processes for capturing and managing all configuration changes, including complex interactions with key stakeholders such as Systems Engineers, Project Leads, and Government joint agencies. 
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of existing change control processes and tools, recommending major changes and improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and optimize support for continuous infrastructure management. 
  • Functions as a technical expert in change control, providing guidance to PMO teams and projects on best practices and adherence to the CCM process. 
  • Oversees the coordination of all Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities, ensuring efficient and effective review and decision-making for proposed changes. 
  • Develops and refines the format, template, and numbering scheme for all required configuration management deliverables (e.g., 1067s, Deficiency Reports, AISR Transport change requests), ensuring standardization and compliance. 
  • Mentors and supervises journeyman and junior Change Control Specialists, fostering skill development and ensuring consistency in process adherence and documentation quality. 
  • Leads efforts to identify and mitigate risks associated with configuration changes, ensuring minimal impact on mission-critical infrastructure environments. 
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle 
  • Understand ITIL framework (Event, Incident, Change & Problem Management) 
  • Collaborates strategically with Configuration Managers (CMs) to align change control operations with broader CM strategy and objectives. 
  • Utilize the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate),; MS Project, GFP management modules, WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, automated RIP/CTP/TAR workflows; SharePoint libraries, Confluence, Microsoft Search, lessons learned databases, video library repositories; eMASS internal audit portals, Excel/SharePoint audit templates, CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration, Tableau, predictive analytics engines, trend analysis dashboards; Teams, Azure. 
  • Utilize the following Role Specific Tools: Intelink access Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) (ServiceNow CMDB, BMC Helix, SolarWinds) for centralized repository of configuration items; version control systems (Git, Subversion) with CI/CD integration for automated testing and traceability; change impact analysis tools (Blast Radius Analyzer, dependency mapping engines) for service dependency and rollback planning;; enterprise configuration management platforms (SharePoint, Confluence, Alfresco) for documentation, site plans, rack elevations, and ICDs; compliance audit checklists for DoD CCM standards, RMF requirements, and Section 508 accessibility; SOP/QRC libraries for standardized change control processes; lessons learned repositories for configuration drift prevention and corrective actions; stakeholder communication dashboards for CCB visibility, pre meeting preparation, and action item tracking; predictive analytics engines for change risk scoring and trend forecasting; automated configuration compliance checking tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) for baseline validation; mobile applications for field engineers to log changes and verify configurations in real time. 

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a Change Control Specialist or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level 
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with a BS/BA or 6 years’ experience with an MS/MA or 3 years’ experience with a PhD. or 12 years' w/o a degree, or 10 years with an AS/AA
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level 
  • US citizenship is required 
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certification 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment. 

Work Environment:  

  • Location: MacDill AFB, FL 
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking 
  • Travel: May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
