Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Manager to serve as the primary lead for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities across program execution, deployment, and sustainment efforts. This role ensures that logistics and training requirements are fully integrated into program planning and delivery, supporting successful mission execution and customer satisfaction.

The Logistics Manager partners closely with the Program Manager and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, monitor, and control all logistics and training activities under the program. This individual also leads coordination efforts across logistics stakeholders and ensures alignment with program schedules, requirements, and performance objectives.

 

This position is located in Bethesda, MD. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for all ILS activities supporting program execution, deployment, and sustainment
  • Advise and support the Program Manager in integrating logistics requirements into program planning and execution
  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and control of all logistics and training work performed under the program
  • Chair the Integrated Logistics Management Team (ILMT)
  • Review and validate all ILS requirements and ensure alignment with program objectives
  • Coordinate with Service Teams, ILMT personnel, and other stakeholders to support:
    • Development of logistics strategies
    • Acquisition planning
    • Fulfillment of logistics and training requirements
  • Ensure logistics and training efforts align with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Provide dashboard reporting, status updates, and performance metrics to program management and customers
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support contingency planning
  • Support continuous process improvement across logistics operations

Qualifications

Required Experience & Expertise

  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • The candidate will need to be able to obtain a public trust clearance. 
  • Strong background in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and program logistics management
  • Experience supporting program execution, deployment, and sustainment in complex environments
  • Strategic logistics and supply chain management expertise
  • Experience with:
    • Transportation and distribution operations
    • Warehousing and inventory optimization
    • Demand planning and forecasting
    • High-volume logistics operations
  • Knowledge of regulatory and trade compliance requirements
  • Experience with logistics systems, ERP tools, and data reporting platforms
  • Demonstrated ability in contract management and carrier/supplier negotiations

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
