Peraton is looking for a Scientific Applications Programmer at Stennis Space Center, MS to join the team supporting and upgrading the software suite used for vehicle control and data exfiltration, processing, and analysis for unmanned undersea vehicles operated by the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO). Software modules were originally developed by Peraton, the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), and University of Washington Applied Physics Laboratory (APL-UW).
What you will do:
Working in collaboration with NRL and APL-UW researchers and developers, NAVOCEANO personnel, and Peraton programmers, the successful candidate will be responsible for adding new features and capabilities to software modules.This is a full-time position on site at Stennis Space Center, MS.
The candidate will provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific and technical software systems. Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
