Cloud Test Engineer – Cyber Missions Team

Peraton is seeking a talented Cloud Test Engineer to join our mission-driven Cyber Missions team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of cutting-edge cloud solutions that support high-impact missions.
As a Cloud Test Engineer, you will lead testing efforts across task-order initiatives, working hands-on with applications transitioning to—or already operating within—the AWS cloud environment. You’ll collaborate with solution providers and technical teams to validate functionality, performance, and integration readiness for production.
What You’ll Do
Lead and execute testing efforts for cloud-based applications and infrastructure
Perform configuration and functional testing for applications deployed in AWS
Conduct both manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality solutions
Validate deployment of code and infrastructure using modern DevOps tools
Test and support cloud deployments utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration into AWS production environments

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Test Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, modern cloud technologies, and contributing to mission-critical systems.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer on similar programs or contracts
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related field (or 4 additional years of TE experience in lieu of degree)
Experience developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and automated tests
Proficient in manual testing and analyzing/interpreting test results
Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve automation issues
Skilled in creating bug tickets and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams
Strong teamwork and communication skills
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Experience with test automation tools or willingness to learn
Familiarity with software integration and writing automated tests
Knowledge of web technologies and databases or willingness to learn
Experience designing and executing automated testing systems
Ability to replicate errors and analyze test data for system performance and efficiency
