Position: Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Planner
Location: remote assignment located at Camp Xiphos, Jordan – Secure US Military Compound.
Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
Role and Responsibilities Overview:
Peraton is seeking an experienced Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Planner to integrate Information Related Capabilities (IRCs), functions, and tasks into all facets of Combatant Command (CCMD)-level planning. This role ensures the command group and staff fully consider IRCs in the decision-making process.
The MISO Planner will provide expert mission analysis, problem-solving, and assessment skills—leveraging information systems and IRCs, integrating inter-agency and intelligence community (IC) inputs, and developing innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the cyber and electromagnetic spectrum. Cultural considerations that affect operational and tactical planning, security, and risk assessments are also central to this role.
In this role, you will:
- Integrate IRCs into CCMD-level planning and decision-making.
- Conduct mission analysis, analytic problem-solving, and assessments to support operational planning.
- Develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial information use in cyber and electromagnetic domains.
- Review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational-level MISO and IO directives in support of maneuver elements.
- Apply technical skills to operational and tactical planning/execution.
- Identify and track measures of performance and effectiveness, advising on IRC application during operational concept development.
- Provide expert advice on integrating inter-agency and IC capabilities.
- Consider cultural aspects that impact planning, security, and risk assessments.
- Need to have demonstrated expertise in MISO/IO planning and execution.
- Working knowledge of:
- Military Deception (MILDEC)
- Operations Security (OPSEC)
- Electronic Warfare (EW)
- Cyberspace operations missions and tasks
- Have the ability to integrate joint warfare capabilities and synchronize activities of mutual concern.
- Have familiarity with IO competencies supporting USSOCCENT planners.
- Possess strong oral, visual, and written communication skills.
- Have proven ability to advise, negotiate, and persuade senior leaders, military officials, and managers.
- Be effective at gaining acceptance of recommended concepts, guidance, policies, and regulations.
