We are seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to serve as a technical authority and strategic advisor, guiding the design, integration, and optimization of complex systems across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. This role supports Government leadership in applying a multi-disciplinary engineering approach—spanning requirements engineering, solution design, reliability, resiliency, integration, testing, and sustainment—to deliver accurate, timely, and mission-ready GEOINT capabilities.
Advise and support Government leadership in directing multi-disciplinary engineering efforts across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
Ensure systems meet mission objectives and enterprise standards for performance, scalability, and resiliency.
Lead activities across requirements engineering, solution design, scheduling, services development, system integration, testing, maintainability, and lifecycle analysis for large-scale, interagency systems.
Oversee planning, analysis, and traceability of user and system requirements, architectures, and workflows.
Enhance automation, streamline processes, and align solutions with evolving cloud capabilities and enterprise objectives.
Advise Government leadership on proposed system design changes based on emerging technologies, evolving requirements, and strategic priorities.
Ensure technical excellence and mission relevance across systems.
Capture and translate mission and customer needs into actionable system and capability requirements.
Maintain traceability throughout system architecture and program execution.
Lead system integration efforts and direct Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.
Inform decision-making and optimize solution delivery.
Provide input on strategic technical planning, performance engineering, project management, risk management, and interface design.
Ensure engineering efforts align with enterprise and mission goals.
Operate at the enterprise integration level, coordinating across multiple Major Systems Acquisitions.
Bridge organizational, agency, departmental, and national boundaries to ensure unity of effort and interoperability.
Provide authoritative insight on NSG, ASG, and NRO enterprise operations, architectures, and modernization initiatives.
Drive coherence and alignment across the GEOINT enterprise.
Oversee and coordinate Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-Level Systems Engineer teams.
Ensure consistent technical quality, alignment, and mission delivery across all engineering activities.
