Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Technology Architect in Washington D.C. who will be responsible for serving as the technical advisor to senior agency executives, ensuring the research and development supports the agencies’ near and long-term goals. The selected individual is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the Agency’s technology architecture.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending appropriate technologies
  • Developing and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, roadmaps, and standards
  • Overseeing system integrations and ensuring interoperability across all Task Areas and work centers
  • Ensuring data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Managing technical debt
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the agency to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective technology solutions in alignment with the Agency’s strategic objectives.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to the task areas
  • Participating in project planning and execution
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Agency’s technology infrastructure and processes.
  • Integrate the Task Areas within the larger Agency enterprise and collaborate with other business units to ensure seamless operations across the Agency enterprise IT environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Requires an active TS/SCI
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; 4 additional years relevant experience can be substituted for degree
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex solutions architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, designing, and implementing automation and orchestration systems, hybrid platforms supporting broad systems architectures, and integrating new solutions with existing systems.
  • DoD 8140 IAT II compliant.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in order of preference:
    • Azure or AWS Solutions Architect
    • Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
    • Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (retired in 2021)

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
