Tier 2 Deskside Support Technician

Peraton is seeking an on-site Tier 2 Deskside Support to support the Office of Science under the DOE CBOSS 2.0 contract, providing Tier II support to troubleshoot, repair, deploy, and install customer-computing devices, peripherals, software, and associated IT assets.  Responsibilities include:

• Perform routine device and software maintenance, including updates, patches, diagnostics, and optimization to minimize downtime and ensure peak performance.
• Manage a loaner pool of mobile devices and peripherals (e.g., laptops, smartphones, tablets, projectors, etc.) for short-term use.
• Prepare obsolete computers, peripherals, and software for disposition, including secure data removal from hard drives.
• Setup IT equipment and services for meetings.
• Install, operate, and maintain videoconference systems; provide customer training on use of videoconferencing systems. 
• Maintain familiarity of existing and emerging technologies, including but not limited to Apple devices (e.g., iPhones, iPads, Apple desktops, and laptops) and other standard and future product suites.

• 3+ years related experience 
• Must have foundational knowledge in computer hardware, software, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies
• CompTIA A+, ITIL V4 Foundations, or other relevant certifications preferred

$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
