Responsibilities

Peraton's Remotec team is seeking a Quality Inspector  to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. The Quality Inspector works at the Remotec Facility in Clinton, TN. The Clinton facility manufactures Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) robotic equipment.  

 

The Quality Inspector will perform the following duties:

 

  • Manage and track all vendor returns as part of the RMA process.
  • Track all vendor CARs to closure.
  • Help with QA metrics
  • Help with all non-vendor CARs to make sure closure is done in a timely manner.
  • Incoming mechanical inspections for mechanical parts from machine shops.
  • Inspect and log all parts flagged for inspection on a first in first out basis. 
  • If a non-conformance is found during inspection, the inspector is supposed to:
    • Document and log the non-conformance. 
    • Issue a red tag
    • Give the red tag RTV parts and work with  the warehouse to process NCMRs
    • Once the NCMR is open, fill out the CAR
    • Contact the vendor
    • Sent the CAR to the vendor
    • Request an RMA number
    • Process the shipping paperwork
    • Given to the shipping paperwork to the warehouse to return the part.
    • Keep track on the status of the part until it is returned
    • Re-inspect the part
    • Process and close the CAR.
    • Release the part to the warehouse.
  •       Once the part is inspected by the inspector:
    • Stamps and dates the packing slip for the released part
    • Log the part in the quality log.
    • Give the part and the packing slip to the warehouse to process
  •      Scan all COC’s received with parts and store the file on the server.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings and do floor inspections
  • Must have experience with Excel, Word and Global Shop

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience preferred

Target Salary Range

$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
