Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks and solutions that align with FAA modernization objectives. This role provides strategic oversight and technical leadership to ensure interoperability, scalability, and compliance across the FAA’s evolving system-of-systems environment.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission—you’ll define the architecture that drives the next generation of air traffic management.

As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies that align with FAA modernization and BNATCS program goals.

  • Provide strategic oversight and technical direction for cross-domain system integration and enterprise-level interoperability.

  • Develop and maintain the logical enterprise information architecture that enables seamless data exchange and system integration across the FAA’s information ecosystem.

  • Define and enforce enterprise information/data management practices, including architecture frameworks, standards, and governance processes.

  • Lead efforts in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical designs for complex, large-scale systems.

  • Design and maintain data dictionaries, information models, and metadata management approaches that ensure consistency and traceability across systems.

  • Develop and implement enterprise information standards, data quality processes, and data sharing protocols to support FAA mission operations.

  • Architect scalable, service-oriented, and cloud-based solutions to enable secure, resilient, and efficient system modernization.

  • Ensure enterprise architecture aligns with federal IT policies, FAA standards, and best practices in information lifecycle management.

  • Collaborate closely with program management, engineering, cybersecurity, and FAA stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency and performance across domains.

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and integration goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).

  • 16+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, information architecture, or systems engineering in complex, mission-critical environments.

  • Demonstrated expertise in:

    • Enterprise and information architecture development and implementation.

    • Systems integration and cross-domain interoperability in large-scale environments.

    • Data modeling (transactional, dimensional, and object-oriented) and database design using modern modeling tools.

    • Enterprise information management and data governance frameworks.

    • Service-oriented architectures (SOA), data warehousing, ETL, and master data management (MDM) methodologies.

  • Knowledge of modeling languages and techniques such as UML, OML, entity-relationship modeling, and data flow diagrams.

  • Experience developing enterprise information standards, guidelines, and IT architecture plans.

  • Strong understanding of federal IT modernization, information lifecycle management, and FAA system environments preferred.

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required.
