Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Architect - Intune to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.  Position is located in Tampa, FL.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

SOF Integration Facility team is seeking a Security Architect to strengthen USSOCOM's security posture by focusing on secure design reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation. This role is integral to ensuring our enterprise systems meet the highest security standards. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks, as well as collaborating with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities in design and code effectively. Additionally, the position involves creating secure reference architectures informed by design reviews and industry best practices. Your expertise will help us achieve excellence in supporting the warfighter and enhancing national security.

 

  • Lead secure design reviews and threat modeling exercises for new projects, features, and architectural changes, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational security policies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in application code and system designs, providing hands-on guidance and actionable recommendations.
  • Create and maintain secure reference architectures to serve as a foundation for implementing secure systems, applications, and solutions aligned with the organization's specific needs and technologies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to development teams, integrating security considerations into the system development lifecycle and promoting secure integration practices.
  • Assess conformance with architectural standards, focusing on reducing technical debt and optimizing enterprise assets such as systems, services, and information.
  • Provide technical expertise on security matters, including encryption, authentication, authorization, and secure communication protocols.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats, trends, and best practices, applying relevant insights to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure and compliance, to align security measures with organizational goals and ensure seamless integration.
  • Support security incident response efforts by contributing architectural expertise and defense-in-depth strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Min 16 years with HS degree, 14 years with AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA or 7 years PHD
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
  • TS/SCI Clearance or above required
  • Knowledge of best practice cybersecurity and threat-based cybersecurity frameworks, and latest trends
  • Knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework
  • Ability to create system architectural diagrams and help build the body of evidence needed in eMass for submitting Authorization to Operate workflows
  • Strong knowledge of government security requirements and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in performing root cause analysis.
  • Ability to conduct detailed system analysis and provide comprehensive engineering guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with data classification standards, including controls in U.S. government environments and classified data handling
  • Experience defining security requirements, security assessments, and security recommendations using industry standards as reference models
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles, frameworks, and implementation strategies
  • Knowledge of Agile, ITSM, DevSecOps, and change management processes.
  • Knowledge of modern IT infrastructure and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in project management and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
