We are seeking an Expert Systems Engineer to support and lead multidisciplinary teams in advancing GEOINT capabilities across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner federal agencies. This role ensures systems are engineered with precision, reliability, and mission alignment — delivering timely, accurate intelligence that supports national security.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support systems engineering efforts across requirements analysis, solutions design, system integration, testing, evaluation, maintainability, and performance analysis.
Direct the engineering of reliable, resilient systems and services that meet mission needs in dynamic, high-stakes environments.
Analyze and improve existing systems, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and workflow enhancement.
Assess and advise on cloud service capabilities, limitations, and scheduling constraints to inform architectural decisions.
Guide the capture and translation of user and mission requirements into actionable system and capability designs.
Allocate and trace system requirements across architecture components and program elements.
Support and participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and detailed engineering assessments.
Provide technical guidance on solutions architecture, including assessing the impact of new technologies and design changes.
Contribute to strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Offer expert insight to align vision, strategy, planning, requirements, and capability development across the enterprise.
Integrate multiple major systems acquisitions across agencies, departments, and national boundaries to ensure interoperability and mission success.
Supervise and coordinate the efforts of Senior-, Mid-, and Junior-level contractor systems engineers to ensure technical excellence and alignment.
Why This Role Matters:
In this mission-critical position, you’ll shape the future of geospatial intelligence by leading engineering efforts that span technology, policy, and global collaboration — ensuring our national systems are secure, integrated, and ready for the challenges ahead.
Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligible to participate in an attractive bonus plan.
