Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking an Enterprise & Solutions Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will lead the design and integration of enterprise and solution-level architectures in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Whether you’re supporting safety validation efforts or leading teams on major FAA programs, your work will directly impact the millions of passengers and aviation professionals who rely on safe, efficient airspace operations every day.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise and solution architecture roadmaps aligned with FAA mission goals.
  • Translate business and stakeholder requirements into technical design and architectural solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of architectures with FAA standards, federal IT frameworks, and modernization priorities.
  • Lead the integration of cloud, data, application, and infrastructure solutions across FAA programs.
  • Provide technical oversight for system interoperability, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, compliant solutions.
  • Develop and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and governance processes.
  • Conduct trade studies, impact analyses, and feasibility assessments for FAA modernization efforts.
  • Oversee solution implementation, ensuring designs are executed correctly by vendors and subcontractors.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and coordinating across stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare audit-ready architectural documentation and system design packages.
  • Responsible for aligning business requirements with technical solutions, enterprise frameworks, and modernization strategies, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability across FAA systems.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership to programs advancing the National Airspace System (NAS) while ensuring compliance with FAA standards and federal frameworks.

Why This Role Matters

As aviation and federal programs evolve, any weakness in underlying infrastructure can impact operations and service delivery on a national scale. As an Enterprise & Solutions Architect, your leadership ensures these systems are designed for resiliency, security, and future growth.
