We’re seeking a Quality Analyst to support high-visibility FAA programs by ensuring the delivery of reliable, compliant, and high-performing systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to national airspace initiatives, supporting aviation innovation while strengthening quality oversight and continuous improvement efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Champion quality excellence across system development and modernization efforts.
  • Review and analyze business, technical, and regulatory requirements to ensure quality standards are built into all phases of the system lifecycle.
  • Assess documentation, processes, and deliverables to ensure alignment with FAA compliance, performance, and safety criteria.
  • Support readiness evaluations, design reviews, and quality risk assessments to help identify issues before deployment.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation, including quality plans, compliance checklists, and process metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with developers, engineers, and stakeholders to clarify expectations, define quality benchmarks, and ensure traceability to FAA requirements.
  • Facilitate quality gates and participate in phase reviews to ensure only validated, compliant products move forward.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance frameworks, reduce defects, and improve program outcomes.
  • Monitor adherence to federal and FAA-specific quality and safety frameworks.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, or:
    • Master’s degree and 10 years of experience, or
    • Associate’s degree and 14 years of experience, or
    • High school diploma/equivalent and 16 years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality management, or systems/process quality roles.
  • Familiarity with quality standards, process auditing, or compliance practices.
  • Knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within FAA, NAS, or other aviation-related programs.
  • Understanding of FAA safety, quality, or systems engineering frameworks.
  • Certifications such as Certified Quality Analyst (CQA), Six Sigma, or CMMI.
  • Experience in federal program quality assurance, quality control planning, or risk-based quality reviews.
  • Familiarity with configuration management, document control, or traceability best practices.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
