Responsibilities

Peraton requires Technical Project Managers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) – Asset Lifecycle Replacement is responsible for the planning, execution, and closeout of projects focused on the replacement of end-of-life (EOL) and end-of-support (EOS) IT assets.

 

This position requires a strong technical background coupled with proven project management skills, specifically within the realm    of IT Service Management (ITSM) and asset lifecycle management. The TPM will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet established quality standards, minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

 

This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC

  • Project Managers perform oversight of planning, execution, and completion of projects in accordance with the SIE OPORD.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk assessment, communication plans, and detailed schedules. Execute projects according to plan, proactively managing changes and mitigating risks
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Lead the planning and execution of asset replacement projects, from initial assessment of EOL/EOS assets through procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
  • ITSM/ITIL Integration: Ensure all project activities are aligned with ITIL best practices and integrated with existing ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management).
  • ServiceNow/Remedy Expertise: Utilize and maintain accurate asset data within ServiceNow or Remedy (depending on Army standard) throughout the project lifecycle. Experience with configuration management database (CMDB) reconciliation is critical.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels, including technical teams, leadership, and end-users. Build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Change Management: Lead change management activities related to asset replacements, including user training, communication, and support.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk registers, and lessons learned.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for procurement, installation, and support of new assets.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to all relevant security policies, regulations, and Army standards.
  • Responsible for technical/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.
  • Defines, generates, and reviews project requirements documentation; performs technical studies to refine project requirements.
  • Monitors projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
  • Must be familiar with Asset/Change Management Concepts

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • Min 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with a PHD
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Must be familiar with ITSM applications such as:  Remedy and ServiceNow

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desired
  • ITIL Certification is desired
  • Prior experience managing IT projects is desired

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
