As our Operations Planner, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide operational-level Joint Command, Control, Computers and Communications (C4) Planner services.
    Support USFK J63 plans and exercise branch.
  • Use your knowledge of joint matters and operational level combined joint environment doctrine to coordinate the development, integration, and sustainment of joint communications system policies.
  • Contribute to developing, as well as implementing support plans, annexes, and operating instructions in the planning phases.
  • Use your joint communications system expertise to support and participate in numerous exercise planning groups and assist in developing communications scenario’s.
  • Work closely with J6 staff on force planning of communications units for the time phased force deployment data (TPFDD) in supporting the USFK mission.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years with BS degree or minimum of 3 years with MS or 0 years with PhD degree in computer science, or a related discipline. An additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of BS educational requirement.
  • Ability to obtain IAM III certification within 6 months of start.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access
  • Command and General Staff Course or equivalent completion, Armed Forces Staff College Joint Staff Officer Couse, or equivalent completion and experience serving on the staff of a US 4-star level Headquarters.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
