Responsibilities

 

Support Solutions for Intelligence Analysis Countering Advanced Conventional Weapons Analytical Requirements (SCAR) contract.  SCAR enables the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Missile & Space Intelligence Center (MSIC), and the community at large to provide authoritative foreign threat analysis and assessments through Science and Technology Intelligence (S&TI) that enables decision makers – warfighters, acquisition community customers, and policymakers – to make formal decisions.  The SCAR task order is designed to provide the missile defense community with the flexibility needed to adjust the order of out-year weapon systems, modeling and simulation studies as required by mission needs and meet both current and emerging threats.  Peraton’s SCAR team is continually immersed in applying best practices in areas such as;

Candidate will

  • Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
  • Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
  • Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
  • Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed. Tracks, monitors, and designs systematic corrective measures to ensure quality across all work products across the life of the effort.
  • Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with Intelligence Community (IC) guidelines and that all works are stored in and/or reference MSIC Knowledge Base (MKB).
  • Prepares products, including referencing and formatting, to meet Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 203 Analytical standards and ICD 206 Sourcing Requirements of Disseminated Analytical Products, also ensuring products adhere to grammar and style guides. 
  • Act a resource in publications and dissemination of products, including submitting and tracking all task product release requests. 
  • Plans the contents of publications according to the communications/publication's style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements.
  • Oversees publication production, including artwork, layout, computer typesetting, and printing, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications

 

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

  • 3+ years working in an Intel environment
  • 3+ years of editing a wide variety of Intel communications
  • TS with the ability to obtain SCI and Poly

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
