We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, program-level oversight, and subject matter expertise in testing methodologies for large-scale, safety-critical FAA systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead the development of enterprise-level test strategies, test plans, and methodologies.

  • Oversee system, integration, performance, and acceptance testing across FAA workstreams.

  • Provide subject matter expertise on testing processes, standards, and best practices.

  • Manage and mentor test engineers and analysts, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define test requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Ensure all testing complies with FAA standards, NIST RMF, FISMA, and safety frameworks.

  • Direct the use of test automation, simulation, and validation tools for efficiency.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, dashboards, and risk assessments.

  • Support FAA leadership in test readiness reviews, certification, and accreditation activities.

  • Prepare audit-ready test documentation and compliance reports.

  • Conduct risk-based testing for safety- and mission-critical systems.
  • Oversee test performance.
  • Lead defect management, resolution tracking, and root cause analysis for system issues.
  • Guide modernization initiatives, and ensure all delivered systems meet FAA safety, performance, and compliance standards.

Why This Role Matters
