Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Document Control Administration Supervisor to support our Colorado Springs, CO production manufacturing facility, as part of the company's Acusil program. 

 

The Acusil® production department manufactures thermal protection materials for civil and military applications, and the customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies.  The materials are engineered, molded, cured, machined to print, and bonded to customer-supplied artifacts.  Our team delivers strong customer satisfaction through rigorous application of Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest product quality while maintaining strict delivery schedules.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the QA Process Supervisor in creating best practices and procedures for Document Control and maintaining all documents and records comprising the program’s ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System (QMS).  This role involves generating, proofreading, and formatting various technical reports, presentations, procedures, and office correspondence. It is expected that this role will directly manage at least one employee.

 

Responsibilities of the position: 

  • Implement, manage, and administer processes that control the creation, revision, collection, authorization, publication, distribution, storage, and retrieval of revision-controlled documents including:
    • Work Instructions
    • Procedures
    • Forms
    • Drawings
  • Supervisory activities including but not limited to:
    • Managing employee daily tasks
    • Managing employee timecards
    • Managing employee training
    • Managing employees within Peraton Corporate systems
  • Implement and maintain an organized structure to electronically and physically file project records.
  • Assist in maintaining the QMS assets library including all templates.
  • Generate data packages in accordance with customer requirements including artifacts such as Certificates of Conformance and Material Certifications.
  • Communicate with other managers, supervisors, and individual contributors across all functional areas.
  • Upload data packages to customer sites/portals.
  • Work with the program’s QA Process Supervisor in managing the program’s SharePoint.
  • Archive records at designated intervals in accordance with project requirements
  • Participate in internal and external ISO 9001 audits and customer audits.
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining Document Control processes within a manufacturing ERP system.

 

 

Qualifications

Required Experience:

 

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and 6+ years of related experience, Bachelors degree and 4+ years
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience in technical writing

Desired Experience:

 

  • Must be clearance eligible 
  • Highly organized and effectively manages time
  • 2+ years maintaining documents and records within a Quality Management System
  • Experience working in an Aerospace or DOD environment
  • Hands-on experience as a project team member
  • Experience in PowerApps, PowerBI, and PowerAutomate
  • Experience in implementing, using, and maintaining a manufacturing ERP system.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
