Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Systems Adminstrator. In this position you will perform the following (but not limited too:)

 

  • Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
  • Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
  • Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • Interface with the client to determine project requirements and priorities.
  • Matrixed team infrstructure specialist participdates in the planning, execution and control of multiple concurrent upgrade projects.
  • Create and execute detailed project plans for Software upgrades and installations.
  • Develops Roadmaps for Upgrades with Product Owners
  • Contribute project quality, cost (hours), schedule, resources, issues and risks.
  • Prepare periodic project progress reports.
  • Coordinate activities across teams among multiple stakeholders.
  • Provide after hours support of infrastructure periodically.
  • Manage the Key Cermonies for the new cards types purchased by the customer

 

System Administration:

  • Installs, supports, maintains and monitors DMDC infrastructure for HID products (CCS, ActivClient, ILS, etc.) for reliability and uptime.
  • Architects, designs, implements and maintains complex enterprise PKI infrastructure.
  • In collaboration with HID Global, other architecture and engineering teams(ITOPS, systems engineering, database administration, network operations and applications development), analyze and design enterprise systems used for customer CAC (Common Access Card) management
  • Working with others, analyze and translate business requirements into a solution design for new installations or upgrades to existing platforms.
  • Coordinates new software release testing with impacted teams.

Qualifications

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • CompTIA Security + certified
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of Project Management practices and the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work closely and develop strong business relations with clients, project team members and other stakeholders at all organizational levels.

  • Familiarity with tools:JIRA, MS Project, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
