Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level networks in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will provide technical expertise in routing, switching, and secure communications, ensuring FAA systems meet the highest standards of availability, scalability, and security. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.
In this position, you will:
Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and cloud-connected networks.
Install and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless devices.
Implement and manage network security controls to comply with NIST RMF, FISMA, and Zero Trust requirements.
Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of FAA networks.
Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network outages and latency issues.
Support the deployment and integration of NextGen FAA modernization systems.
Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management for network devices and services.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to monitor, detect, and mitigate threats.
Provide technical expertise for network-related proposals, upgrades, and lifecycle planning.
