Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. We are seeking a Business Process Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will lead process improvement, optimization, and modernization initiatives in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will analyze, design, and refine business processes that enable FAA programs to operate more efficiently and effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs.

 

In this position, you will:

  • Lead business process analysis, design, and optimization across FAA programs and workstreams.

  • Provide strategic insights, process modeling expertise, and data-driven recommendations, ensuring business operations align with FAA’s mission, compliance requirements, and modernization goals.

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to capture requirements, pain points, and improvement opportunities.

  • Develop process maps, workflows, and models using industry-standard methodologies and tools.

  • Conduct gap analyses, trade studies, and impact assessments to evaluate current versus future-state processes.

  • Define and track KPIs and performance metrics to measure process efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure all processes align with FAA standards, federal regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on process modeling, data analysis, and benchmarking.

  • Support change management and process adoption, including training and communications for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with systems engineers, IT teams, and program managers to integrate business process requirements into technology solutions.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level reports, dashboards, and briefings on process initiatives and outcomes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or or Associate’s degree and 14 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.  
  • Experience in business process analysis, workflow design, or process improvement.
  • Expertise with business process modeling standards and tools (e.g., BPMN, Visio, ARIS, Lucidchart).
  • Strong knowledge of federal compliance requirements and process frameworks.
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and how they intersect with business processes.
  • Experience defining process performance dashboards and monitoring tools.
  • Strong skills in documentation, audit readiness, and compliance reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience.
  • Experience supporting FAA, DOT, DHS, or other federal agency modernization programs.

  • Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or SAFe Agilist.

  • Experience with digital transformation, robotic process automation (RPA), and AI-driven process optimization.

  • Familiarity with NextGen FAA initiatives and NAS modernization dependencies.

  • Recognized expertise in developing or contributing to federal process improvement standards or policy.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives in complex organizations.

  • Strong background in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
