Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking a Facilities Workstream Product Owner to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will oversee and drive the planning, execution, and delivery of facilities-related workstreams in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In this role, you will act as the bridge between FAA stakeholders, engineering teams, and contractors, ensuring facilities projects align with FAA standards for power, HVAC, cabling, and physical infrastructure that support mission-critical Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. You will own the facilities product backlog, prioritize requirements, and ensure deliverables meet performance, compliance, and operational needs.

In this position, you will:

  • Own the product backlog for the FAA facilities workstream, ensuring requirements are captured, prioritized, and delivered.

  • Collaborate with FAA stakeholders to define and refine requirements for power, HVAC, cabling, site readiness, and physical infrastructure.

  • Partner with engineering, program, and subcontractor teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks.

  • Ensure facilities designs and upgrades comply with FAA standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

  • Provide oversight of site readiness and infrastructure integration for ATC systems and modernization projects.

  • Monitor progress of facilities-related workstreams, ensuring milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.

  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively resolve issues impacting delivery or compliance.

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between stakeholders, contractors, and FAA leadership.

  • Deliver status reports, metrics, and recommendations for leadership and program management reviews.

  • Stay current with emerging trends in facilities design, sustainability, and resiliency to inform FAA initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associate’s degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience. 
  • Experience in facilities engineering, infrastructure management, or product ownership roles.
  • Strong understanding of facilities systems (HVAC, electrical, cabling, physical infrastructure).
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Program Lead managing backlog priorities and delivery.
  • Experience managing large-scale facility upgrade projects in a federal or highly regulated environment.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams, contractors, and program managers on facilities projects.
  • Proficiency with project management and product ownership tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project).
  • Hands-on experience with site readiness, infrastructure integration, and sustainment activities.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks related to infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical discipline.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager.

  • Experience with FAA, DOT, or DHS infrastructure modernization programs.

  • Knowledge of NextGen FAA initiatives and their facilities dependencies.

  • Familiarity with digital twins, smart building technologies, or advanced monitoring systems.

  • Prior experience leading cross-functional infrastructure programs with multiple subcontractors.

  • Familiarity with FAA facilities standards or other federal infrastructure requirements.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
