Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 10+ strategic planners, partner / stakeholder engagement specialists, web and branding marketing professionals, communications / public affairs specialists, and policy writers. As the Task Lead, the candidate’s responsibilities include interviewing, selection and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards. The Task lead will also provide front office support to the government directors, as needed.

 

The Task Lead will manage the technical execution of the team, to include:

  • Ensure engagement activities with government partners are coordinated and executed according to schedule.
  • Assist the government with strategic, operational, and tactical communication efforts to enhance internal and external messaging and outreach, including audience surveys, analysis, and targeting
  • Oversee policy creation and execution in support of government initiatives.
  • Assist with the government information and onboarding sessions as requested. 

Additionally, the candidate will work with employees to: 

  • Provide functional knowledge of operational and support processes for their service area. 
  • Clarify/resolve process-related activities for technical team. 
  • Understand existing and proposed delivery process, procedures, and tools by function. 
  • Monitor and report progress against plans through final acceptance and signoff. 
  • Manage, coordinate, and resolve project issues, decisions, and risks. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience successfully managing a complex enterprise's operations, strategy, projects and any combination of human resources, finances, logistics, security or public affairs.
  • Exceptional communication skills including demonstrated experience briefing senior government executives and/or military leaders.
  • Demonstrated strong customer and partner relationship building skills
  • Must be able to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, as well as handle complaints, settle disputes and resolve conflicts.
  • Experience management/leading diverse groups of business support personnel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree BS/BA/MS/MA Major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or related field.
  • Demonstrated motivation to maintain awareness of current cybersecurity and threat intelligence news and trends.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support the customer’s needs, clearly communicate (orally & written) ideas, work autonomously, take the initiative to provide creative alternatives to intractable challenges or systemic problems.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
