  • Detect and respond to anomalous satellite or network conditions, initiating corrective actions and coordinating resolutions as necessary.

  • Compile, analyze, and record detailed operational data associated with non-nominal satellite contacts to support post-event analysis and reporting.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to mission operations teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • Support the development and implementation of procedures, standards, and best practices to enhance system effectiveness and mission assurance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.

    • 15+ years of relevant experience with BS/BA.

    • 12–15 years of relevant experience with MS/MA.

    • 10–14 years of relevant experience with PhD.

  • Proven experience in satellite communications engineering, including design, integration, testing, and operations.

  • Strong understanding of satellite surveillance systems, network protocols, and Space Control Network (SCN) operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex system issues and manage communications anomalies in real time.

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in air traffic management integration or aerospace/defense communications programs.

  • Hands-on expertise with mission operations centers (MOCs) or satellite ground station equipment.

  • Knowledge of encryption, secure communications, and classified networks.
