We are seeking a highly experienced Test & Evaluation (T&E) Specialist with expertise in Voice and Telecommunications to play a critical role in the transformation of the nation’s air traffic control system. This ambitious initiative is focused on enhancing safety, improving reliability and security, reducing outages, lowering total cost of ownership, and modernizing the aviation system with state-of-the-art technologies and facilities. In this role, you will Plan and execute rigorous testing and evaluation for FAA voice and telecom equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integration and interoperability testing for voice and telecom equipment in multi-vendor environments.
  • Develop automated regression testing suites to ensure system reliability after upgrades.
  • Support field deployment validation through on-site testing and certification.
  • Provide post-test analysis reports with actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying test process gaps and proposing enhancements.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria to validate performance against mission requirements.
  • Conduct lab and field testing, analyze results, and provide clear recommendations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 8+ years with BS (or equivalent)

  • Experience performing T&E for telecom systems in 24/7 operational environments.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings to executives and technical teams.

  • Strong knowledge of telecom test tools (e.g., Spirent, IXIA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • Familiarity with FAA NAS T&E processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with FAA NAS acceptance and operational testing standards.
  • Experience in performance benchmarking and stress testing under high-load conditions.

  • Excellent communication skills for briefing senior leadership on test results.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
