Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personnel Security (PERSEC) Specialist to manage and maintain the security clearance process for a government customer. The PERSEC Specialist will be responsible for performing data entry, managing security records and databases, and communicating with government agencies, contractors and team members. The successful candidate will have a strong background in personnel security, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Perform high-accuracy data entry and maintain accurate and up-to-date security records and databases.
  • Communicate with multiple government agencies, contractors and team members to facilitate the clearance process, address inquiries, and provide updates.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines, adapting to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • Receive, process, and manage a variety of documents from government agencies and contractors, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), continuous enrollment forms, and other required documents.
  • Conduct PERSEC audits and ensure compliance with federal security regulations
  • Provide PERSEC training and awareness to personnel on security-related topics
  • Develop and implement PERSEC Plans and Procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate PERSEC-related incidents, investigations, and reports to identify areas for improvement or resolution
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism

Qualifications

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 
  • 9 years with High School/GED Diploma; in lieu of degree 
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with poly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, government-related software and security databases
  • Knowledge of federal security regulations (ICD 704, NISPOM, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing PERSEC plans and procedures
  • Excellent PERSEC investigative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) customers
  • Familiar with clearance processing activities for government agencies

Desired

 

  • Minimum of 7-9 years’ experience in personnel security or a similar role

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
