Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Business, National Airspace, and Technical Computing Services (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Site Development Manager to oversee the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and optimization of facilities and equipment that support the FAA’s mission. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring leadership in facilities management, land acquisition, site selection, and construction oversight.

You will:

  • Direct and manage facility operations: Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of company buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.

  • Ensure compliance and safety: Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, building codes, and environmental, health, and security standards.

  • Optimize facility use: Plan and allocate space to maximize efficiency, aligning resources with company and FAA requirements.

  • Lead capital projects: Manage all phases of facility modifications and construction projects — from concept and design through implementation and sustainment.

  • Manage contracts and budgets: Define requirements, negotiate contracts, track financial terms, and establish operating budgets.

  • Drive efficiency and sustainability: Develop and implement energy management and utility consumption improvement programs.

  • Address environmental concerns: Lead hazard management, planning, and remediation to ensure compliance and operational safety.

  • Procure services strategically: Issue RFPs, evaluate vendors, and solicit alternatives that maintain high standards while identifying opportunities to reduce expenses.

  • Oversee site construction and renovations: Ensure projects meet government regulations, environmental policies, and security requirements.

  • Conducting site profiling and evaluations to provide detailed data for decision-making.

  • Performing site selection and land acquisition to support construction projects.

  • Delivering insights through decision matrices for FAA site development.

  • Ensuring compliance with U.S. Government land acquisition processes and procedures.

  • Partnering with FAA stakeholders and external contractors to secure optimal locations for next-generation aviation infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: 10+ years of related real estate and/or facilities management experience, with a BS degree (or equivalent experience).

    • Preferred: 20+ years of experience, including direct U.S. Government acquisition experience.

  • Strong background in site selection, land acquisition, and construction project management.

  • Proven expertise with building codes, safety regulations, OSHA compliance, and environmental standards.

  • Experience managing complex contracts, budgets, and multi-phase projects.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Preferred: Prior experience supporting the FAA or other U.S. Government agencies.

  • Ability to Obtain Public Trust Clearance.
