Air Traffic Training Lead Associate

 

Do you want to play a critical role in shaping the future of America’s skies? As the Air Traffic Training Lead Associate, you’ll design, deliver, and oversee innovative training programs that keep our National Airspace System (NAS) safe, efficient, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

 

This is more than just a training role—it’s a leadership opportunity to influence how the next generation of air traffic professionals are prepared. You’ll bring together your expertise in instructional design, FAA air traffic control procedures, and large-scale training program management to ensure personnel perform at their highest level.

 

In this position, you will:

  • Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs.

  • Create dynamic learning content, realistic simulations, and performance-based assessments.

  • Deliver impactful classroom and virtual instruction for both operational and technical personnel.

  • Guide and mentor training teams while fostering collaboration with FAA stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate training records and drive continuous program improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 8-11 years of experience in air traffic training, instructional design, or program management.

  • Proven knowledge of FAA air traffic control procedures.

  • Experience delivering training in both live and virtual environments.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and agencies.

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
