Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Software Developer – Mainframe (Adabas/Natural Programming) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  

 

Location
Position allows for remote work but working hours are eastern time zone (EST).

 

 Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members and customers to gain understanding of system requirements
  • Analize issue/request and create business/technical specifications for customer approval
  • Create test plan for system test QC review – QC will develop UAT test plans
  • Develop solutions primarily using Mainframe Adabas/Natural.
  • Implement system requirements to meet user needs
  • Assist with the development of estimates for levels of effort for proposed changes
  • Apply software engineering best practices to ensure software quality

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience. 
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green card holder. 
  • Proficient in Mainframe Adabas/Natural programming.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development with demonstrated expertise in Mainframe Adabas/Natural.

  • Experience supporting the full software product lifecycle, from development through implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or similar field
  • Experience working with Child Support Solutions or similar public sector applications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mainframe Adabas/Natural

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
