Responsibilities

Peraton is currently seeking an experienced Task Manager/Cyber Investigations & Forensics to become part of our Federal Strategic Cyber Group.

 

Location: Northern VA. On-Site; Full-time. 

 

What you'll do:

  • Serves as the contractor's task manager overseeing personnel and activities supporting the Cyber
    Investigations & Forensics Program.
  • Interface and coordinate with Government leads with key focus on effective, efficient, and
    compliant contractor support.
  • Execute proper staffing, providing appropriate, qualified, and sufficient contractor resources to
    meet specified requirements.
  • Develop threat assessment procedures and train staff on cyber investigation procedures, forensics,
    and technical capabilities.
  • Develop cybersecurity solutions and capabilities through research and development.
  • Perform analysis on suspect systems for all incidents requiring forensic analysis.
  • Establishes work duties and schedules and addresses work discrepancies.
  • Supervises and communicates program policies, purposes, and goals to subordinates. Formulates and
    enforces work standards.
  • Performs quality control; ensures contractor performance meets established performance standards.
  • Monitors, tracks, and reports on the status of contractor activities.
  • Identifies, promotes, and implements process improvements.

 

Qualifications

Minimum requirements: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 12 years of experience or High School diploma and 16 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Certifications: One or more of the following prior to starting, or the ability to obtain:
    • GIAC: GCFE, GASF
    • IACIS: CFCE, ICMDE
    • NCFI: BCERT, MDE
    • Opentext: EnCE
    • Cellebrite: [CCO & CCPA], CCME
    • Oxygen Forensics: OFC
  • Demonstrated technical task management and supervisory experience.
  • Experience supporting a cyber investigation team responsible for the handling of high-severity computer-security incidents.
  • Demonstrated experience performing intrusion detection, incident response, and cyber forensic analysis.
  • U.S. citizenship required. 
  • Active Secret security clearance.
    • The ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI level security clearance.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
