Responsibilities

Peraton is looking to hire a Scrum Master, this role is 100% remote.

 

Peraton’s work enables DCSA Personnel Security Mission through sustainment of NBIS eApp and Agency Investigative Management (IM) and implements PVQ, a Key Milestone for Trusted Workforce 2.0. NBIS eApp enables 1.9M applicants per year to complete forms required for background investigations and NBIS Agency Investigative Management enables 39,000 Agency users across Federal, DoD and Industry to Initiate/Review/Authorize background investigations.

 

What you'll do:

  • Leads the development effort by conveying the vision to an Agile or Scrum delivery team, outlining and prioritizing work based on business value.
  • Responsible for the business aspects of the project, including ensuring the right product is being built, in the right order, within budget and by the deadline
  • Serves as the Agile or Scrum delivery team's primary contact for information, work prioritization, and decision-making. Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery
  • Serve as liaisons between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Ensure that team members understand project objectives
  • Maintains product backlog and release plan and facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the team's sprint goals
  • Preserves flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes. Is the facilitator for an agile development team. The scrum master manages the process for how information is exchanged

Qualifications

What you'll need:

 

  • Education:  Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.
  • Clearance:  Active Secret clearance
  • Experience with software development (such as Java or Pega) and full-stack development 
  • Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, system development life cycle and project management frameworks 
  • Experience in AWS Web Server, cloud architecture and CI/CD experience preferred. 
  • Familiarity with ticketing system, such as ServiceNow 
  • Utility Tools knowledge (JIRA/Confluence/GitLab/Artifactory) 
  • MSOffice Suite / Microsoft 365 proficiency required  
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster collaborative relationships with customers, teaming partners and cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to resolve customer issues very quickly and accurately. 

Required certifications:

  • Certified SAFe 6 Scrum Master
  • Certified SAFe 6 Product Owner/Product Manager

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
