We’re seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and drive complex systems engineering efforts across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and partner Federal Agencies. In this high-impact role, you’ll shape the architecture and integration of mission-critical GEOINT systems that directly support U.S. and allied operations.
As a technical leader, you will:
Mentor and guide mid- and junior-level systems engineers across the full engineering lifecycle, including:
Requirements development
Solution architecture and systems integration
Scheduling and service development
Testing, evaluation, and maintainability
Reliability and resiliency engineering
Lead planning and analysis of user requirements and system architectures
Improve system performance through the review of cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling constraints
Oversee the development of solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies
Translate mission and customer needs into actionable system and capability requirements
Support the allocation of requirements to architecture components and program execution
Guide systems integration across multiple platforms, programs, and agencies
Conduct technical assessments including:
Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
Courses of Action (CoAs)
Trade Studies
Engineering Assessments
Assist in strategic planning and oversight of:
Project management
Performance engineering
Risk management
Interface design
Operate at the enterprise level—integrating multiple systems, services, and processes within Major Systems Acquisitions, spanning organizational and agency boundaries
Influence the future of GEOINT enterprise systems
Work on mission-critical projects that directly support national security
Collaborate with top-tier engineering teams and government leaders
Lead transformative efforts in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following fields:
Systems Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, nformation Technology, Management Information Systems, Other related STEM disciplines
OR 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree
Minimum of 12 years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas:
DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes
Requirements development processes
PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System)
Systems engineering of large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environments
Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
Active TS/SCI clearance
OR the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and pass a polygraph
Master’s degree in:
Systems Engineering
OR a related technical or scientific field (as listed above)
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Working knowledge of:
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, languages, and processes
Software Development Frameworks
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Photogrammetry
Remote sensing
Image science
Information sciences
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Geomatics
Other related geospatial fields
Documented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) field
In-depth knowledge of current:
NSG – National System for Geospatial-Intelligence
ASG – Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence
NRO – National Reconnaissance Office enterprise
Membership or leadership in professional organizations such as:
ACSM – American Congress on Surveying and Mapping
ASCE – American Society of Civil Engineers
ASPRS – American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
OGC – Open Geospatial Consortium
SAREM – Society for American Remote Earth Monitoring
USGIF – United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation
