Quality Assurance Tester - Manual and Automation - Apps Modernization and Cloud Migration

Peraton is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester. This position will perform the following duties but not limited too: 

• Works on the development and implementation of software test plans, scenarios, scripts, and quality assurance programs.
• Analyzes test cases and functional specifications to determine best approach for automating scripts.
• Creates automated tests to augment manual testing.
• Promotes and adopts consistent testing standards, tools, and processes.
• Performs analysis on complex business requirements and software problems.
• Performs verification and validation of software products, develops test protocols, and is responsible for drafting and updating documentation of results.
• Provides effort estimates based on high-level assumptions. Identifies data for testing and creates test design including test cases and conditions.
• Runs tests and diagnoses problems to ensure user requirements are met.
• Reviews software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness.
• Provides input on the development of quality control policies, procedures, and standards.
• Monitors progress against schedule.
• Assists fellow team members and customers with problem reporting and resolution and maintaining appropriate follow-up communications throughout the resolution process.
• Debugs complex software products using systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Designs, codes, and executes automated test scripts.
• Prepares reports and documentation updates. Provides technical consulting on automation issues, tools, and processes.
• May take part in researching best practices, new tools, and technology.
• Develops and executes software test plans.
• Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
• Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
• Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
• Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.

Duties may include, but not limited to:

• Performing all unit, integration, data conversion, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Testing operating system-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
• Developing test cases.
• Developing and configuring automated testing cases and tools.

Manual testing will also be requried.

Required Qualificaitions: 

• 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
• Must be a US citizen
• Able to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Expereince with Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Managment (ALM) suite to include Unified Functional Testing (UFT).
• Knowledge/expereince with LoadRunner is a plus.
