Responsibilities

Peraton requires Senior Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.  This position is located in Stuttgart, Germany and requires TESA approval. 

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

Senior Systems Administrators perform tier one and two network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD and serve as a critical liaison between Systems, Help Desk, and Automation teams, facilitating seamless project execution and continuous service improvement. This role requires proactive collaboration to integrate new technologies and automate processes across systems, enhancing overall efficiency and responsiveness.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing Desktop and End User support (account creation, password reset, cabling, token issuance/troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Maintaining collaboration tools in accordance with USSOCOM standards
  • Installing, patching, and upgrading operating system software
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Configuring, optimizing, and monitoring operating system software and hardware
  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for server and virtual machine builds (on-premise and cloud)
  • Providing Systems Administrator support for complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces
  • Maintaining file servers and network access, including permissions and account management
  • Troubleshooting and documenting system anomalies to ensure optimal performance
  • Managing and maintaining IT systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Proactively monitoring and troubleshooting issues, escalating as needed
  • Supporting data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyzing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to streamline processes and improve process flows
  • Utilizing SharePoint for documentation management, collaboration, and workflow automation
  • Gathering, documenting, and validating system requirements for upgrades, new implementations, and integrations, ensuring alignment with operational needs and stakeholder expectations

 

 

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years with AS/AA; 8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD; 12 years with HS. 
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance is required for this role
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification
  • Experience with Government hardware and software systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
  • Candidate must meet TESA requirements

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
