Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Architects to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. 

This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida.   

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.  

The System Architect operates as a core member of the Service Modernization and Automation team, directly supporting the Enterprise Operations Support organization. This role serves as both a strategic integrator and technical authority—translating modernization objectives into cohesive system solutions that elevate operational effectiveness across USSOCOM’s global enterprise. 

  • Architect and evolve enterprise system designs to support modernization and automation initiatives across cyber, cloud, network, virtualization, and ITSM domains 
  • Lead design and delivery of solutions that optimize enterprise operations  
  • Lead system assessments and transformation planning to reduce complexity, improve agility, and enhance mission alignment 
  • Integrate modernization efforts with ServiceNow workflows, ITSM governance, RMF compliance, and automation strategies 
  • Collaborate with SMA leadership, Process Engineers, Automation Leads, and matrixed stakeholders across CCs and TSOCs to ensure system capabilities align with operational goals 
  • Provide architectural oversight across modernization domains including cloud migration, virtualization, cybersecurity, and data integration 
  • Support implementation of automation tools and practices to streamline system provisioning, monitoring, and sustainment 
  • Apply systems administration expertise to support server operations, VDI environments, directory services, and PKI lifecycle management 
  • Troubleshoot and optimize enterprise systems, including mid-range application servers, file servers, and operational apps 
  • Maintain configuration integrity, document anomalies, and support encryption environments to ensure enterprise system availability 
  • Develop and maintain system design documentation, integration plans, SOPs, and performance metrics to support modernization efforts 
  • Ensure architectural solutions support continuous improvement, operational resilience, and long-term scalability across the J63 operational community

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Min 16 years with HS degree, 14 years with AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with a PHD 
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance  
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification,  
  • Experience in architecting enterprise systems in support of large-scale modernization and automation efforts 
  • Background in systems integration, transformation planning, and cross-domain coordination 
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity standards 
  • Ability to lead matrixed teams and drive strategic outcomes across diverse modernization portfolios 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with cloud-native architecture, virtualization platforms, and hybrid infrastructure design 
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Terraform) 
  • IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent) 
  • TOGAF, DoDAF, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification 
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow integration and system-related workflows 
  • Experience supporting modernization efforts across cyber, cloud, network, and service delivery domains 
  • Expertise in system modeling, gap analysis, and transformation planning for enterprise-scale environments 
  • Experience supporting encryption environments, troubleshooting middleware, and sustaining enterprise system availability

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
