Responsibilities

Peraton requires a Change Manager to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at Hurlburt Field in Florida.

 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

 

The Change Manager plays a pivotal role within our IT infrastructure team, providing change management support in line with the SIE OPORD.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and approves change priority schema with classifications (impact, priority, risk) and change authorization processes that align with Government requirements.
  • Oversees the maintenance, management, and updates of the Request for Change (RFC) status register that is used to record, track, and report on the status of RFCs submitted for consideration.
  • Reviews and approves the documentation of RFCs and the classification of proposed changes to the services, which includes the cost of the change, a risk impact assessment, and any system(s) security considerations.
  • Develops and implements continual process improvements to the Change Management Plan as directed by the Government.
  • Oversees schedule of planned, and approved changes (Forward Schedule of Changes [FSCs]).
  • Provides change documentation, as required, including proposed metrics for measuring the effectiveness of a change.
  • Publishes and communicates the approved FSC to appropriate IT and mission personnel, according to policies and procedures.
  • Monitors changes, conducts change reviews, and reports results of changes, impacts, and change effectiveness metrics.
  • Verifies that changes meet objectives based upon predetermined effectiveness metrics and determining follow-up actions to resolve situations where the change failed to meet objectives.
  • Tracks approved RFCs that met the change objectives, been cancelled, abandoned with Government approval, or otherwise abandoned.
  • Facilitates Change Board meetings, including the review of planned changes and results of changes made; ensures that appropriate parties are invited and represented in accordance with approved DoD policies and procedures.
  • Works with Configuration Management to make sure changes that affect CI(s) are reflected in the CMDB.
  • Performs an analysis of change related incidents and provides a report, as directed by the Government.
  • Conducts research on process improvement and change automation.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains internal change management policies, procedures, and associated training plans.
  • Manages and provides guidance to junior members of the Change Management team.
  • Assists with the definition and documentation of new or adapted change processes and procedures.
  • Audits change process compliance across for the scope of their site/responsibilities.
  • Develops and implements continual process improvements to the Change Management Plan as directed by the Government.

Qualifications

  • Min 12 years with HS Diploma, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PHD 
  • Must have experience with Remedy, ServiceNow or similar service ticketing software.
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
