Peraton is seeking a Technical Project Engineer, Senior Advisor to support our mission to defend and protect our national security.  

The Technical Project Engineer, Senior Advisor leads technical project engineering activities, ensures system integrity across the full lifecycle, and delivers program management support to sustain critical cyber infrastructure. They provide expert-level guidance to internal teams and government stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational and mission objectives. 

Responsibilities may include: 

The Technical Project Engineer, Senior Advisor will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: 

  • Lead engineering oversight for cyber systems across initiation, development, deployment, sustainment, and retirement phases. 
  • Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of engineering deliverables in alignment with lifecycle frameworks such as ISO/IEC 15288. 
  • Serve as primary liaison with government and mission stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and ensure alignment. 
  • Provide advisory support for technical decision-making and program direction to senior leadership. 
  • Develop, review, and refine engineering documentation, technical specifications, and lifecycle work products. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, logistics, and sustainment for coherent program execution. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, Master's degree with 10 years of experience, PhD with 7 years of experience. 
  • US Citizenship and a current active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI. 
  • Must comply with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 802 requirements, including holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs for managing cyber-related IT projects, resources, schedules, and stakeholder communications. 
  • Demonstrated experience as a senior technical engineer on complex cyber or systems engineering programs. 
  • Proficiency in lifecycle engineering methodologies such as ISO/IEC 15288 or similar frameworks. 
  • Experience preparing and reviewing high-integrity technical deliverables and documentation. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with government stakeholders in technical problem-solving. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Prior work experience supporting USAF or DoD cyber or engineering missions. 
  • Familiarity with sustainment planning, logistics integration, or lifecycle support models 
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools or technical metrics in cyber environments 
  • Knowledge of logistics or sustainment processes specific to cyber systems support.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
