Responsibilities

Peraton’s Cyber Mission supports the United States Air Force by delivering mission-critical Cyber professionals who defend our nation’s security. Our team of experts provides innovative engineering, logistics, sustainment, and customer support to ensure the functionality of network infrastructure, while addressing the most complex cyber operations and national defense challenges. 

Peraton is seeking a Network Engineering, Advisor to support our mission to defend and protect our national security.  

The Network Engineering, Advisor delivers full-spectrum network engineering support, including architecture, integration, configuration management, and modernization of enterprise and hybrid cloud networks. They provide specialized technical guidance and problem-solving to internal teams and stakeholders to enhance network performance, security, and resilience. 

Responsibilities may include: 

The Network Engineering, Advisor will be responsible for the following, but not limited to: 

  • Provide specialized technical guidance and solutions for complex IT problems. 
  • Design, integrate, and deploy full-spectrum network architecture including WAN, data center, and hybrid cloud. 
  • Perform network troubleshooting across routers, switches, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity. 
  • Oversee configuration management and ensure operational performance through patching, upgrades, and monitoring. 
  • Implement effective network security measures including firewalls and secure communications. 
  • Transition legacy applications into modern hybrid cloud deployments. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 6 years of experience, PhD with 3 years of experience
  • US Citizenship and a current active TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI. 
  • Must comply with DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 441 requirements, holding an approved baseline certification and meeting all KSAs related to network monitoring, fault isolation, and performance optimization. 
  • Extensive experience in network troubleshooting across routers, switches, firewalls, gateways, and packet analysis tools. 
  • Proven experience in configuring, patching, and monitoring network systems to support operational requirements. 
  • Strong experience implementing effective network security solutions. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with DDI services such as DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management. 
  • Demonstrated cloud engineering and application modernization expertise. 
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud network transitions and legacy application migration strategies. 
  • Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary technical environments.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
