Responsibilities

We're looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be a key player in maintaining the reliability and performance of our systems, ensuring our infrastructure is secure and up-to-date. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a strong background in Microsoft technologies and a commitment to operational excellence.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our server infrastructure, primarily in Azure and on-premise.
  • Perform regular server patching and updates to ensure security and stability.
  • Manage and deploy certificates for various applications and services.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments, including backups, security, and performance tuning.
  • Administer and support Active Directory (AD) environments, including user and group management, Group Policy, and security.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement new solutions and improve existing systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for all systems and procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
  • 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; Additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or a similar role.
  • Deep expertise in Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft server operating systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory administration.
  • Proficiency in patching and updating servers, as well as creating and managing SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) to automate routine tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with NiFi for data flow automation.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint administration and support.
  • Experience with OpenText document management systems.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
