Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to provide support for our NAVAIR customer on site in Lexington Park/Patuxent River, MD.

You will work on a variety of topics within the Air Systems Group, with a focus on the Naval Air Warfare Center – Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Forward Strategic Focus Area 1 (SFA 1) initiative.  SFA 1 supports all Groups and Echelon IVs within NAWCAD.  

What you will do:

  • Your primary duties will involve monitoring all NAWCAD WAA submissions and identifying the appropriate Field Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) to enforce NAWCAD WAA Business Rules and improve accuracy and efficiency of work acceptance. 
  • Monitoring includes capturing WAAs over $3M in value, tracking reviewed WAA changes throughout the workflow process, comparison of current and previous years WAAs to analyze data for similarities/discrepancies, building PowerPoint briefs to present at review meetings, maintaining WAA Excel spreadsheets, and notifying our team of any pertinent findings. 
  • Additional duties may include gathering Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) project structures for work planning and execution analysis.

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Education:  5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA.  Desired degrees include Data Science, Computer Science, or related areas. Business-related degrees may also be acceptable.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect.  Ability to design and implement technical solutions to meet business needs, bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementations.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders to create, validate, and oversee the deployment of solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Functional knowledge of: Jupiter Advana, QLIK, and Power Apps
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired:

  • Familiarity with NERP and Project Structures
  • Familiarity with Work Assignment Agreements
  • Advanced Excel data visualization experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; including presentation skills capable of defending a technical position and/or recommendation.
  • Self-directed team player with proven ability to deliver tasks timely and efficiently, and a demonstrated ability to interact professionally with all levels of management
  • High level problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in the defense industries

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
