Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit. This dynamic team develops and maintains multiple products that automate manual processes, enabling mission customers to focus on high-priority and complex challenges.

 

We follow Agile methodologies and embrace DevOps principles to deliver high-quality, reliable software. Work will be performed at Peraton’s secure contractor facility, which offers flexible scheduling and telework opportunities based on tasking requirements and customer approval.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architectures.

  • Perform ongoing security testing and code reviews to strengthen software security.

  • Troubleshoot and debug technical issues as they arise.

  • Design and engineer new software solutions to address and mitigate security vulnerabilities.

  • Contribute to all levels of system architecture and maintain accurate technical documentation.

  • Advise and mentor team members on secure coding best practices.

  • Stay current with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.

  • Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects

Qualifications

  • Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent 8 years developing production
  • Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful service.
  • Familiarity with cloud development techniques, resources, and tools.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required.

Hands-on experience with:

  • Java, Spring Boot, JSON

  • Docker, MongoDB, Elasticsearch

  • Nginx, Git, Linux

  • JavaScript (Vue.js), HTML/CSS, and related front-end technologies

  • Account Management & Access Control

  • API design and implementation

  • Full-stack development (front-end & back-end)

  • Grafana, Kibana

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
