Responsibilities

Peraton requires a Network Architect to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.  

This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida. 

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.  

Network Architects perform tier four network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. 

  • Assessing business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks 
  • Planning, designing, and upgrading network installation projects 
  • Establishing and maintaining backup, version-control, and malware defense systems 
  • Troubleshooting network architectures and recommending system fixes and enhancements 
  • Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • 16 years with HS degree, 14 years with AS/AA, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with PhD 
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required 
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II 
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) OR Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) 

-OR- 

  • CCNP Enterprise 

-AND two other professional certs from the list- 

  • CCNP Security 
  • CCNP Data Center 
  • CCNP Service Provider 
  • CCNP Collaboration 
  • Background in design and maintenance of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) 
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols (e.g., Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and Multiprotocol Labeling Switching (MPLS). 
  • Ability to design, implement, and manage complex multicast solutions, to include configuring and troubleshooting multicast routing protocols like Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) and managing multicast addressing. 
  • Collaboration with other network engineers and stakeholders to integrate multicast solutions within existing network infrastructure and applications.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
