Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist to work on-site at Camp Smith, HI.

 

This position requires a dedicated Knowledge Management Specialist (KMS) to support ongoing and emerging Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) initiatives across staff sections. This position is critical to enhancing information flow, knowledge sharing, and data governance practices that underpin decision-making in operational and exercise environments. The KMS will play a central role in standardizing KM processes, maintaining collaborative toolsets (e.g., SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365), and providing subject matter expertise to ensure continuity and modernization of knowledge operations.

 

What you'll do:

  • Maintaining and adjudicating SharePoint Online site permissions and collaborative workspaces tailored to staff section requirements and operational workflows.
  • Administering and customizing KM tools including SharePoint lists, libraries, PowerApps, and InfoPath forms to streamline data collection and dissemination.
  • Supporting KM efforts for real-world operations and exercises, including the development of operational playbooks, KM annexes, and continuity plans.
  • Providing technical troubleshooting for Microsoft 365 and OneDrive for Business environments to minimize downtime and user disruption.
  • Implementing DoD KM best practices, integrating people, processes, and technology to ensure consistent, reliable knowledge transfer within and across divisions.
  • Delivering KM training and mentorship to staff personnel to build internal capabilities and reduce operational knowledge gaps.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

  • Clearance:  Active TS/SCI clearance is required
  • Experience with Information Management
  • Knowledge of DOD, USMC and military culture and procedures
  • Ability to manage and brief senior leaders
  • U.S Citizenship Required

Desired:

Master's Degree and 10+ years of experience or Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
