Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Information Management Specialist to work on-site at Camp Smith, HI.

This position requires a highly skilled Information Management Specialist (IMS) to support the integration of AI-driven information management (IM) and command and control (C2) systems within the G6 and Command Deck. As the operational tempo increases and data volumes expand, the Command must leverage advanced data analytics, knowledge management tools, and AI-enabled capabilities to ensure informed decision-making across all staff sections. This position directly supports the development and execution of the Knowledge and Information Management Plan (KIMP), operational Information Management Annexes, and exercise and real-world information flows. The IMS will identify and document IM system capabilities, coordinate internal engagements to define AI and C2 integration needs, and provide technical expertise for analytics frameworks and collaborative architectures.

This role is critical to maintaining situational awareness, supporting Crisis Action Teams, managing exercise integration requirements, and developing data-informed operational tools. The position also ensures compliance with USMC IM standards, facilitates SharePoint and KM tool development, and bridges the gap between technical systems and operational users. Without this capability, MARFORPAC will be unable to fully exploit modern information tools necessary for joint warfighting and interoperability with partner nations in support of INDOPACOM objectives.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate integration of AI-driven analytics platforms with mission-critical C2 systems (e.g., GCCS, C2PC, JDOCS) to enhance situational awareness and provide predictive operational insights.
  • Develop and manage AI-enabled data frameworks to streamline knowledge sharing and improve decision support across MARFORPAC's operational planning and execution cycles.
  • Lead AI-focused engagement efforts to identify C2 integration requirements and ensure the alignment of new technologies with command-level operational objectives.
  • Support AI accelerator initiatives, enabling rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment of smart technologies to modernize IM capabilities.
  • Design adaptive systems using AI algorithms to dynamically manage and optimize collaborative system architectures and real-time data flows.
  • Analyze IM architecture and infrastructure for AI-readiness, including system impact analysis (SIA) and feasibility assessments for machine learning integration.
  • Work across staff sections to interpret and translate AI use cases, ensuring non-technical personnel understand the operational benefits of emerging technologies.
