Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Sensor Integration to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in systems engineering or systems integration who thrive in complex, technical environments and are eager to support mission-critical programs.

In this position, you will lead and support the integration of sensors and associated systems, coordinate data definitions, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful development, processing, and exploitation of sensor data. You will also play a key role in requirements and interface definition, impact assessments, and customer briefings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sensor integration efforts across multi-domain platforms and systems.

  • Manage and coordinate sensor data definitions to support interoperability and processing.

  • Integrate tools and software required for processing, exploiting, and disseminating sensor data.

  • Define, update, and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and requirements baselines.

  • Analyze and assess the technical impact of proposed system changes or enhancements.

  • Develop and deliver technical briefings and presentations to internal stakeholders and external customers.

  • Support and participate in Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, architecture analysis, and system design activities.

  • Assist in planning and executing testing and validation activities to ensure system readiness and performance.

  • Conduct schedule analysis and support risk identification and mitigation planning.

  • Manage and maintain configuration control for operations systems and documentation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or STEM related degrees
  • 12+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including DoD/IC Acquisition process, requirements process, PPBES process or system engineering of large complex system or systems or SOA/cloud environments
  • 8+ years of experience with strategic plan development, decomposition, and management
  • 8+ years of experience with Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • 8+ years of experience supporting the assessment, evaluation, and deployment of new or emerging technologies into operations or architectural impacts and a recommendation path forward
  • 3+ years of experience in project management or technical team leadership
  • 3+ years of experience in segment level Systems Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in multiple system, service, and interface integration across organizational agency boundaries
  • 3+ years of experience experience in capturing user and mission requirements and translating into systems capability requirements such as writing technical documents
  • 3+ years of experience in CM board process in the IC
  • 3+ years of experience in test/evaluation and analysis within NGA and/or the IC
  • 3+ years of experience in facilitating meaningful technical discussions with a broad audience through effectively communicate with government, engineers, developers, and stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
