Peraton is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team our innovative team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the United States Postal Service (USPS) program. The ideal candidate will review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. As a critical member of our team, you’ll serve as the liaison between users and our IT organization, shaping technology solutions that align with business goals. This position is 100% remote.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify system requirements and translate them into actionable specifications.
  • Document functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and work-flows to support enterprise-level software development.
  • Lead or mentor less experienced analysts while fostering a collaborative and quality-focused environment.
  • Support Agile and/or Waterfall software development life-cycles, including project planning, documentation, testing, and deployment.
  • Evaluate system designs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive documentation, training materials, and change management communications.
  • Drive process improvements and identify areas for operational efficiency.
  • Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
  • Document system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience or Associates degree and 7 years’ experience or a High School Diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
    • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years. 
    • Candidate must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related IT role.
  • General familiarity with project management methodologies/disciplines (scope, cost and schedule management).
  • Experience leading small teams and/or technical projects.
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation (specifications and design).
  • Broad experience evaluating software designs against business and technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, VersionOne, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies; Scrum Master experience.
  • Experience working with a Network Change Review Board (NCRB).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • USPS or other federal agency experience highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
